SPRING

We love Spring in the Catskill Mountains. Around every corner flowers are blooming and the trees are bursting with leaves. Here at the Catskill Mountain Country Store we have a 67 year old greenhouse filled with annuals, vegetables, and hanging baskets. Our baskets are the fullest, healthiest, and happiest you have ever seen. We also carry a large selection of perennials. Our perennials are field grown and are all two or three years old. They are hardy to this area (zone 4).If you don't see something you are looking for, please feel free to contact us.

If you are looking for dirt!!!...we carry it. Organic Moo Dirt, Moo Grow, and Moo Doo. Plus... we have a full line of Miracle Grow soils, mulches, peat moss, fertilizers, seeds, clay and plastic pots, garden figurines, and glazed pottery.

Plant flowers, it will make you happy and it is good for the environment.

SUMMER

What a great way to spend a summer afternoon...Strolling the grounds at the Catskill Mountain Country Store and Restaurant, with your family and friends. Everyone will enjoy meeting the animals at the looking zoo. Or take a short hike to see the turn of the century sap house and then on to the waterfall. We don't want you to get overheated in the summer sun! So come into the Store for some refreshing homemade iced tea or lemonade. Or maybe enjoy a Hagen-Daz ice cream come which is Sydney, Augustus , and Victoria's favorite thing to do. Sit and relax on our deck or picnic table and enjoy the summer in the Catskill Mountains.

FALL

Boo !!! Fall is one of our favorite seasons at the Catskill Mountain Country Store and Restaurant. Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins...We have lots of them. We also carry beautiful fall mums, gourds, scarecrows, and witches, hay bales, and corn stalks. And check with us when our hay maze for the kids is going to be up!

Scarecrows !!! The Catskill Mountain Country Store & Restaurant sponsors a scarecrow contest for the local kindergartners to 6th graders at Windham-Ashland-Jewett CS. They will be displayed outside the Store from Oct. 16th to Oct. 31. Please come by and vote for your favorite.

What is fall without pumpkin pie and apple pie? Our pies have been voted "The Best in the Catskills and Hudson Valley" by Hudson Valley Magazine. Drew makes all of our pies from fresh ingredients. In the fall New York State produces an abundance of fresh fruit. From apples and pears to pumpkins and berries. It is all waiting for you here at the Catskill Mountain Country Store.

So take a drive and enjoy the gorgeous fall foliage and relax.

WINTER

Snow, Skiing, Snowshoeing, Christmas, New Years and Skiing. Yes Skiing, we love winter and skiing. Our whole family loves to ski so if you have a question about ski conditions give us a call.

The Catskill Mountain Country Store is filled with holiday cheer. When you come by to pick up your local Christmas tree (we sell Balsam, Frasier Fir, and Spruce), don't forget the handmade Christmas wreath. Natasha hand makes and decorates the wreaths and her mother Kathy makes most of the bows and Sydney and Augustus are helping too. We have stockings full of holiday gifts. Wooden toys, gourmet food. cookbooks, children's books, home goods, and many more great items.

Before or after a great day of skiing, come out of the cold and warm your toes. We have a great breakfast and lunch restaurant. Sit down and order a creamy hot chocolate with a mountain of fresh whipped cream and shaved chocolate.Yum!!!
